We had an amazing evening at Stirling Castle for the Stirling 900 closing ceremony on Friday 28th March.
We celebrated volunteering awards organised by Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE). These devoted individuals are Stirling’s longest-serving volunteers, with a combined total of 555 years of service!
Two of our volunteers (Mario and Margaret) were nominated for the long-service award. Margaret wasn’t able to attend but other school represetatives made sure she had all the videos and photos from the ceremony. At the reception, SVE’s CEO spoke along with some volunteers and the Lord Provost. The event launched a commemorative booklet that highlighted some of the inspiring stories of the 900 nominees.
We are very grateful for all our volunteers, especially for those who have been supporting the school for a long time.
