Because the Stirling School of English had received the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, two representatives were invited to His Majesty’s Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on 1st July 2025. Judith and Margaret, were honoured to attend. They followed the dress code of “Day Dress with Hat”. 8000 guests attended and it was a delight to see all the outfits including national dress and military uniforms.

Two bands played throughout the afternoon and wonderful refreshments were efficiently offered in a grand marquee. Tea was served in fine china cups. Everything was done to perfection in this most glorious garden setting. The King, the Queen and Princess Anne mingled with their guests who were permitted to use small cameras.
