We are here to help you learn English in the best possible way for you.

The Stirling School of English SCIO is a voluntary organisation that aims to provide low cost English language tuition to all whose first language is not English, regardless of ability, ethnic origin and political or religious beliefs. We try to be as flexible as possible to meet students’ needs while maintaining a high standard of learning. 

About Us
Over 100 students come to English classes each week and we’ve had students from more than 25 countries spanning 5 continents.
Summer School 2024
Summer School takes place every year in the first four weeks of July from Monday to Friday from 10am -3:30pm.

European Day
of Languages

We celebrate the European Day of Languages every year on 26 September to promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity

St. Andrew’s
Day

On November (slightly early) the school celebrates St. Andrew’s Day with a ceilidh

We celebrate the Christmas party every year to many thanks to all the students, volunteers and friends for the festive fun and good cheer

Burns
Supper

We celebrate Burns supper in memory of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796), the author of many Scots poems

Pancake
Day

Happy St David's Day and Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) or Shrove Tuesday, is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday

Easter Bonnet
Competition

An Easter bonnet is any new or fancy hat worn by tradition as a Christian headcovering on Easter. It represents the tail end of a tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter
